CHELSEA talisman Eden Hazard said West Ham fans claiming he is Real Madrid bound are “wrong”.
The Belgian has flirted with a move to Real Madrid since casting doubt on his Chelsea future at last summer’s World Cup.
Hazard has turned down improved contract offers this season and since Zinedine Zidane has returned to the Bernabeu as head coach reports linking him with the Spanish giants have intensified.
The 28-year-old showed why he is garnering Los Blancos’ interest on Monday night with a sensational brace in Chelsea’s 2-0 win over West Ham.
For his first goal, Hazard weaved his way through the Hammers defence in a rampaging dribble from 30 yards out before poking the ball home with his weaker left foot.
With the game in the balance, Hazard then sweetly half-volleyed home from an acute angle, while the away support inside Stamford Bridge sang that he was leaving London for the Spanish capital.
When posed with those chants after the game, Hazard replied: “They are wrong.
“For now I am just focusing on Chelsea until the end of the season.
“I want to finish top four and Europa League, we still have a lot to do and then we will see.”
Eden Hazard did not shy away from talking about his Chelsea future
Speaking of his terrific opener, the winger added: “It was something special.
“I took the ball and then I tried to move forward. In the box it was hard for the defender to challenge me because if he touches me it could be a penalty.
“I was maybe a little lucky with the shot. I wanted to shoot quickly. When I saw the ball in the net I was just so happy.
“I am small so it is good when I play against tall players as it’s very hard for them to change direction.”
